Where did you hear this idea from? I don't think it will work.

get a flat iron with wavy inserts...salt water is hard on your hair

water with salt in it is different than sea water

there is a shampoo called wash 'n curl, you use it then use a normal curling iron and it makes a huge difference.

1. use redken ringlets to work your hair into ringlets, working in SMALL sections of your hair. leave it until it is bone dry (otherwise it will be frizzy), break it up into smaller curls and put in a hardworking hairspray to keep it like that.

2. you could use a curling iron to curl hair into ringlets, adding hairspray as you go, then tip your head upside down to break up the curls.

3. i'm not sure of the exact qualities, just next time you go to the beach bring a spray bottle and fill it up with water. pps also has a 'sea salt' hair mist you could use. just soak your hair in it, brush while wet then squirt more on and leave to dry naturally.

4. use a moisturising product in your hair (weekly treatment - olive oil works too., extra virgin is best) then wash off after 15 minutes. twist a de-frizz product in your hair to form loose ringlets and wait until it's bone dry. then use a hardworking gel to get the desired effect.

i'm not 100% sure all of these methods work, but after reading them in a magazine, being recommended by professionals, i can only assume they work. good luck, and have fun.

I used salt water baths to create dreadlocks. It's great for make the hair shaft rough and scratchy. I used 2 tblsp per quart of hot water. I never saw his hair curl once.
