Help with hair extensions?

I want to get hair extensions but not a weave ( you know the ones where you braid your hair and than they sow the fake hair to your real hair) i just want the ones that you place on your scalp but people say that they make your hair fall out is this true? and what other types of hair extensions that i can put on my hair with out using the glue

place on your scalp? a glue in type extenstion (thats stil a weave where im from lol) can make your hair come out. not fall out but when you get ready to take it out, if its not done right (and with hella patience depending on the strength of the glue) yea, you will lose some hair but nothing en mass that will freak you out. theres fusion or keritin bonding and depending on your hair type that could work but with any kind of bonding to the hair (bcuz most will NOT put it to your scalp becuz it itches to high heck!) you will risk losing some hair be it natural shedding or pull out or breakage due to the bonding. beauty is pain and often ugly until you get rebeautyfied lol but talk to your beautician, even someone at a beauty supply store about some options

i have seen hair extentions/weave in many ways (1.braid your hair, sow on a track, 2.braid your hair and latch hook in some hair (kind of like croshaying (yes i cant spell lol)) um, 3.glue in tracks, 4.individual piece bonding (keritain), they have some with a small metal ring that you clamp around a piece of your hair as well, probably the healthiest, works like those cheap rings from a 25cent vending maching that you squeeze to fit your finger, you unclamp or unsqueeze the ring and slide off the extentions. extentions with clip/combs on the track so you just part your hair push the comb down and press it to snap it close....um, 3/4 wigs are cool ways to test different lengths, its one big piece you can take on and off or get sown on......girl let me tell you its all kinds of mess out there! lol

its all about how long you want it to last, how much your hair can take and how you take care of it while its in and when you are in the process of taking it out. good luck. :D

if it's not done properly then yes your hair will fall out when you remove the extensions. you could put in clip in extensions, micro link or fusion.

first of all you don't apply the hair on your scalp

when you remove the extensions from your hair, yeah you will notice a good amount of hair that isn't on your head anymore (if you use glue)

for extensions without glue

go with a clip-in extension

fusion or micro

I do extensions. and really the best thing is the weave. It wont damage your hair. i like the glue everything else is expensive

The clips ones are good, my friend wears them and they look so good.

but be carefull with them because if yu use them yu can get bald patches ( it happened to my friend) so there kool if yu dont use them all the time :D

Hey hun to correct the other answer contributor..all extensions are not weaves..I'm a stylist =) so to continue no matter what extensions you get some damage will occur..it all depends on what type of extension and how you take care of them..I just took out my BRAID in extensions (WEAVE) and I felt some thin-ness..I had bonds before where they take individual strands of hair and bond them to a thin piece of your own hair..and lastly you can just glue in a curtain of hair about less than a half an inch from your scalp..I hope this helps..
