It is braided in the same as synthetic hair. It is only cared for differently

its the same yaki human hair is good but those braids don't last long they tend to slip out when you wash the human hair, but synthetic hair is better it lasts and you can wash it as much as you want and it will last at least 3 -5 months some ppl have went up til 9 months with synthetic braid i kept my synthetic braids in til 4months.

Never had extensions, but I think it is done pretty much the same way. Check this site, or others like it. I do know that sometimes with human hair, some kind of glue can be used.

Just remember they should not be left in for a long time. The hair, particularly around the edges, can break. Often that hair loss is permanent; it is called traction alopecia.

My daughter would wear braids them when she was a teen, but she would wear them a month at the very most.
